Nitrogen 5.0

Nitrogen 5.0 is an inexpensive inert gas, and is available in compressed gas or cryogenic liquid formats.

Nitrogen 5 0 Application

N2

Nitrogen 5.0 is extensively used for blanketing, purging and pressurisation. It is the most commonly used laboratory gas.

Uses

  • Carrier gas in gas chromatography
  • Zero gas in analytical instruments
  • Balance gas in calibration gas mixtures
  • Combined with carbon dioxide to produce a gas mixture for modified atmosphere packaging (MAP)
  • Component in fire extinguishers
  • In liquid chromatography mass spectrometers (LCMS)
  • Blanketing furnaces in the semiconductor industry
